Bengower Mountain or ‘Binn Gabhar’ in Irish meaning ‘Goats Peak’ is one of the Twelve Bens mountains and is the 171st highest mountain in Ireland. 

Despite that the mountain is far inland, in late spring you can find thrift (sea-pink) in bloom on top of the summit. The peak of the mountain measures to a height of 644 metres (2,178 ft).
