Devilsmother mountain is part of the Partry mountain range and is situated at the head of Killary harbour. The mountain has two names in Irish, ‘Magairlí an Deamhain’ meaning ‘the demon’s testicles’ and ‘Binn Gharbh’ meaning ‘rough peak’. The peak of the mountain measures to a height of 645 metres (2,116 ft).
