Killeen Castle is believed to have been a 14th century tower house built by Redmond Burke. It is recorded that in 1586, the castle was held by William and Edmund McWilliam Ffiegh.
By the 19th century, it was further recorded that the castle was home to Marcus Blake in 1814. The castle traded hands several times in the 20th century before being extended and made into a family home.
Today the castle is a private residence and is in very good condition.
