Lough Mask is the sixth largest lake, by area, in Ireland measuring at 83 km². Lough Mask is the upper lake to Lough Corrib, but the two lakes are connected through an underground stream which becomes the River Cong. 

Lough Mask is best known for its brown trout fish stock and its famous large ferox trout.
